Conditions - Wind west 4 to 8 mph,25+ degrees

Once again we were greeted by some very hot weather and tricky conditions.Most of the day was spent casting with a 90 degree cross wind due to parts of the field not being cut.There was still some fantastic casting from the juniors especially young Craig Eccles hitting a PB of 179.0.4 yds with 125g and 0.35mm line.More yards to come when he uses 0.28!Also a huge well done to Danny and Sam Johnson in their first tournament!well done lads.The weather did not spoil the fun as many turned to other things,Jody Lemm hitting a huge 221.1.4 yards (club record) with 300g and Alan Varley hitting 209yds with a 175g and NERF ball connected to it.There was also the £25 rod challenge with John Brimblecombe (220.1.0) and Lincoln Turner (191.0.10) showing that you dont need expensive rods to reach big distances.Well done all and see you at the next one!
